Brice Pointe Reaches Major Milestones as Development Moves Forward

The vision for Brice Pointe continues to become reality, and we're excited to share several important milestones that mark a new chapter for New Bern's future Life Plan Community.
Last week, the ThriveMore Board of Trustees approved Brice Pointe to move into the next phase of design and development, reflecting continued confidence in the community's vision and momentum. The board's approval comes at an exciting time for the project, as interest in Brice Pointe continues to grow among older adults seeking a vibrant retirement lifestyle on the North Carolina coast.

Adding to that momentum, the North Carolina Department of Insurance has approved Brice Pointe to advance to the next stage of deposits. This important milestone allows Priority List members to begin reserving their future residences, bringing them one step closer to calling Brice Pointe home.
For many Priority List members, this moment has been years in the making. Since the project was first announced, hundreds of individuals and couples have followed Brice Pointe's progress, attended informational events, and shared in the excitement surrounding New Bern's first Life Plan Community. Now, they have the opportunity to secure their place in the future community.
And this week brought another memorable moment: Brice Pointe celebrated its first residence reservations.
Priority List members Kip and Janet Peregoy became the first future residents to reserve their new home at Brice Pointe. Their reservation symbolizes the confidence that future residents are placing in the vision of Brice Pointe and the exciting future being created in New Bern.
The momentum was also evident during a recent visit from ThriveMore's Board of Trustees. The board gathered in New Bern for the first time, meeting at the Carolina Colours Pavilion, located within the master-planned community where Brice Pointe will be built. During their visit, board members walked the new pathway connecting the Carolina Colours Golf Club to the future Brice Pointe site, giving them the opportunity to see firsthand where the community will take shape over the coming years.

For more than 75 years, ThriveMore has served older adults across North Carolina through communities designed to foster purpose, connection, wellness and peace of mind. While the organization has deep roots throughout the state, Brice Pointe will be ThriveMore's first retirement community near the North Carolina coast and New Bern's first Life Plan Community, offering a new option for those seeking an active, maintenance-free lifestyle supported by a continuum of care.
Every milestone achieved brings the community closer to welcoming its first residents in 2030. From regulatory approvals and design progress to site visits and residence reservations, the excitement surrounding Brice Pointe continues to build.
We are deeply grateful to the ThriveMore Board of Trustees for their leadership, guidance, and dedication to our mission. We also extend our sincere thanks to Carolina Colours for their partnership and hospitality as we continue bringing this vision to life.
Most importantly, we thank our Priority List members and supporters whose enthusiasm has helped shape Brice Pointe from an idea into a community that is becoming more real every day.
The future of retirement living in New Bern is taking shape, and we can't wait to share what's next.
